Revised Versions of PAS 2030 and MCS 023 Transition Arrangements

The revised version of PAS2030 was published on 25th January 2013.

The microgeneration technologies that are eligible under the Green Deal are now removed from the PAS2030 technical annexes, and the revised Code of Practice (published 28th January) recognises MCS as the only route for the microgeneration measures to be eligible under the Green Deal. The new MCS 023 standard was developed by the MCS scheme to support that policy intent by ensuring key Green Deal-specific quality management requirements are reflected in MCS and was published on 28th January 2013.

The GD ORB recognises that accreditation to MCS 023 will take time, and as such MCS 023 transitional arrangements have been agreed between the MCS and Green Deal schemes and are supported by DECC and UKAS.
