Update to Green Deal Branding Guidelines

We would like to make you aware of some changes that have been made to the Green Deal Branding Guidelines (v2.1 can be downloaded from the right-hand side of the page here). Below we have listed the summary of changes:

White logo: Authorised participants can now get access to an all-white logo without a background (issued upon request to gdorbhelpdesk@gemserv.com)

  • Listing multiple measures: Where Installers are authorised for many measures, they may use the strapline “Authorised for measures listed on www.exampleinstallerwebsite.co.uk”. In these instances, Installers must still display their Registration Number.
  • Multiple registration numbers: Where participants have more than one Registration Number, this may be done using one Mark and listing each number underneath. Participants must direct consumers to where they may find which measures each registration number refers to.
  • Media use: Media organisations, trade associations and local authorities can request to use the Mark in materials which discuss the Green Deal scheme at a high-level. However, they must not and cannot use the Mark to promote or imply authorisation or a specific service. This Mark can only be issued upon written request to the GD ORB and must receive full clearance from DECC.

As stated in the Code of Practice, a Green Deal Participant or Certification Body must use the Green Deal Quality Mark on identifying documentation and any marketing materials in relation to the Green Deal in accordance with the requirements of the Green Deal Mark Licence and relevant guidance issued by the Secretary of State.

Please contact gdorbhelpdesk@gemserv.com if you have any enquiries regarding these changes.
